Each work package defines a key area of activity within the project, with clear goals, responsibilities, and expected outcomes.

WP1 – Development of Joint cross-border R&I strategy

This work package lays the foundation for cross-border collaboration between the Croatian and Serbian innovation ecosystems by developing a joint R&I strategy in personalised thyroid medicine. It includes stakeholder mapping, identification of barriers and opportunities, and alignment with national and EU strategic priorities.

WP2 – Personalised Medicine Regional ecosystem concept, design and infrastructure pre-plans

This work package focuses on analysing the current personalised medicine ecosystems in Croatia and Serbia and designing strategic frameworks to guide their future development. It sets the groundwork for building an integrated cross-border regional ecosystem for personalised healthcare.

WP3 – Creating a culture of innovation – capacity building and training

This work package strengthens R&I capacities in Croatia and Serbia through targeted training, skills development, and entrepreneurship support. It also promotes an innovation-driven mindset by encouraging start-up creation and organising competitions in the field of personalised medicine.

WP4 – InnoThyroGen R&I pilot-projects

This work package coordinates pilot activities in Croatia and Serbia, including user engagement, co-creation workshops, and validation of solutions. Its goal is to ensure smooth implementation and lay the groundwork for replicating and scaling the InnoThyroGen approach.

WP5 – InnoThyroGen sustainability and exploitation

This work package ensures long-term sustainability and impact by supporting the application of research results, including a machine learning tool for thyroid disease management. It also focuses on developing business models and market opportunities to transform innovations into real-world healthcare solutions within stable regional ecosystems.

WP6 – Dissemination, communication and engagement of end-users

This work package aims to maximise the project’s impact by promoting its results, engaging stakeholders and the public, and fostering social awareness of personalised medicine. It also develops strategic partnerships and policy recommendations to support the integration of precision medicine tools into public healthcare systems.

WP7 – Project Management and Coordination

This work package ensures smooth and efficient project implementation through effective administrative, financial, and scientific coordination. It also oversees risk management, ethical compliance, communication within the consortium, and the promotion of gender equality.
