Dr. Andrea Gelemanović

Dr. Andrea Gelemanović is a Research Associate at the University of Split, School of Medicine, Croatia. She is a molecular and computational biologist with a PhD in Genetic Epidemiology. Her research focuses on integrating multi-omics data to identify common molecular signatures across complex age-related diseases and inflammation. She is particularly interested in understanding the key factors that contribute to healthy aging, disease initiation, progression, and the development of co- and multimorbidity. Throughout her career, she has gained expertise in various omics analyses, advanced multivariate methods, and machine learning techniques, contributing to interdisciplinary research projects aligned with the principles of personalized medicine. Dr Gelemanović is also highly active in teaching and organizing workshops and summer schools in bioinformatics. Within the InnoThyroGen project, she coordinates Work Package 5, which aims to enhance collaboration between academia, industry, and healthcare to develop personalized approaches for thyroid diseases, focusing on innovation and sustainability.
