Dr. Vladimir Gašić is a Senior Research Associate at the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering, University of Belgrade. His research thesis covered the pharmacogenomics and pharmacotranscriptomics of glucocorticoids in the therapy of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and adult myeloid leukemia (AML). The primary goal of his research is understanding of the pathophysiology and the genetics of severe and rare diseases, especially hematological malignancies, cardiological and endocrionological diseases. An additional field of investigation is the role of microRNA and long non-coding RNA in diseases.
