Assist. prof. Jasminka Omerović

Jasminka Omerović is Assistant Professor at the Department of Immunology and Medical genetics at the School of Medicine, University of Split. She possesses a robust and impactful track record in cell signaling research, with a particular emphasis on cancer biology. Her expertise lay in understanding fundamental signaling mechanism in cancer cells, resistant to drug treatment therapy, with focus on tumor microenvironment and RTKs signaling pathways. Jasminka has made seminal contributions to understanding of oncogenic Ras signaling. She has extensively investigated the intricacies of ErbB receptor signaling, with a focus on EGFR and ErbB-4. During PhD program at “La Sapienza”, University of Rome, and post-doctoral training at the University of Liverpool, and Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research in Uppsala, she gained proficiency in cutting-edge cellular biology techniques, utilizing state-of-the-art mass spectrometry for global phosphorylation signaling study.
