Dr. Dean Kaličanin is a Research Associate at the University of Split School of Medicine, Croatia. He holds a PhD in Biomedicine and Health, with a research focus on investigating the genetic and environmental factors involved in the development and progression of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Dr. Kaličanin has developed expertise in thyroid-related diseases and conditions, having collaborated on various Croatian Science Foundation projects. He also participated in the establishment of Croatia’s first biobank of biological samples from patients with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (CROHT). Currently, he is focused on biomarker discovery through multi-omics profiling in Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.
