Anamarija Jurčev Savičević is a doctor of medicine, primarius, specialist in epidemiology with a professional focus on disease prevention and control and health promotion as routine work tasks. She works at the Teaching Institute of Public Health of the Split-Dalmatia County as the Head of the Scientific Unit and Head of the Department of Epidemiology of Respiratory Infections. As a field epidemiologist, she is deeply involved in various outbreak control activities. At the university level, she is an associate professor employed at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Split and the Department of Health Studies, University of Split as chair of the Department of Preventive Medicine. Full member of the Croatian Academy of Medical Sciences.
